Al-Azhar: Sweden Desecration of Qur’an is Affront to Humanity

Al-Azhar: Sweden has demonstrated, through its practices, that it is closest to the most racist of societies and the least tolerant toward religions and peoples.

Al-Azhar Urges Arab and Islamic Countries to Maintain Their Strong and United Stances against Sweden’s Barbaric and Anti-Islam Policies

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif condemns, in the strongest terms, the unethical practices and repeated provocations undertaken by the Swedish authorities against Islamic sanctities under the pretext of “freedom of expression”, emphasizing that giving approval to burning a copy of the Qur’an reflects chaotic policies, hateful extremism, support for terrorism, and hostility to Muslims worldwide.

In addition, Al-Azhar stresses that giving such criminal terrorists permission to burn a copy of the Qur'an is considered a crime against Islam and the rights of religions and humanity, marking an affront to such societies, which have demonstrated -through their actions- that they are the closest people to racism, chaos, and double standards, and the furthest from true freedom and respect for religions and peoples.

Al-Azhar urges all Arab and Islamic peoples to continue their boycott of all Swedish products in defense of Allah and His Glorious Book and asks all freedom supporters worldwide to join such an effort. Furthermore, Al-Azhar stresses that failure to take strict decisions towards Swedish products is a form of support for these heinous crimes, as well as the criminals who show their animosity towards the Book of Allah and Islam. After all, those offending societies know nothing but materialism.

While Al-Azhar calls on Arab and Muslim peoples to continue boycotting Swedish products, it also calls on all Islamic and Arab countries to continue adopting united and serious stances against Sweden's barbaric, anti-Islam and anti-Muslim policies, as it does not respect religious sanctities, but rather only understands the language of money and material interests.
