𝐀𝐎𝐂𝐄 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐈𝐈𝐅𝐒

     Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) received the Director of the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies in Jordan (RIIFS), and discussed ways to promote joint cooperation in various fields, including countering extremism and protecting youth from being radicalized.
During the visit, the AOCE Director explained AOCE's latest initiatives for youth and children. For instance, a summer course entitled "Know More!" for the 12- to 18-year-old age group was mentioned, while highlighting its outcomes and the positive impact it had on the young participants. The intiative also answered their questions as to the religious perspective on certain issues, like dealing with others of different intellectual and cultural backgrounds, the concept of freedom and its limits, etc.
At the end of the meeting, the Director of RIIFS took a tour through the AOCE’s 13 units, and was briefed through a detailed presentation on the issues tackled by each. She showed appreciation of the intellectual and academic diversity at AOCE.
