AOCE Receives Singapore Consul in Egypt

     The Executive Director of the Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE), Dr. Reham Salama, received Mr. Kenny Tan; Consul of Singapore in Egypt, and Mr. Sayed Muhammad Al-Junaid; the supervisor of Singaporean students in Egypt, to discuss ways of combating extremism. 
During the meeting, Dr. Salama presented the AOCE vision in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, AOCE interactive activities for university students at local and global level, and AOCE earnest endeavors for combating extremist ideologies in the world. 
While touring the AOCE 13 units, the Singaporean delegation was briefed on the mechanism AOCE researchers follow for monitoring extremist and terrorist contents around the world; highlighting key findings and recommendations regarding various issues. 
Following the meeting, the guests expressed their deep appreciation for the endeavors made by His Eminence, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, in addressing hate speech and extremist ideologies that fuel violence and terrorism in the world.
