𝗘𝗴𝘆𝗽𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗖𝗝 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

     Egypt continues its determined efforts at all fronts to support fellow Palestinians and expose the brutal practices of the Zionist occupation. In this context, Jasmine Moussa, a legal adviser at the cabinet of the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered Egypt’s stance before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the illegality of the Zionist occupation and its practices. Highlighting a 75-year history of forced displacement, collective punishment, and daily indiscriminate and systematic violence and human suffering of untold oppression by Zionists in Palestine, Moussa stressed that “The consequences of [Zionists’] prolonged occupation are clear and there can be no peace, no stability, and no prosperity without upholding the rule of law”.
She also underlined the Zionist occupation’s ongoing brutal onslaught in Gaza, where 29,000+ innocent civilians have been killed and almost 2.3 million people were forcibly displaced in violation of international humanitarian law. In its oral argument, Egypt warned that with the impending attack on Rafah, where 1.4 million people have sought refuge, the Zionist entity is continuing its policy of mass forcible expulsion of Palestinian civilians. 
Egypt’s oral argument before the ICJ comes as a response to the request for an advisory opinion by the United Nations General Assembly regarding the legal consequences arising from the policies and practices of the Zionist entity in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.
On its part, Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) commends this historic move and continued stance, calling all world nations to unite efforts to enforce immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in order to save the lives of more than 2 million innocent people.
