Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism, (AOCE), in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, continues the activities of the “Towards a Youth-Oriented Vision for Combating Extremism and Terrorism” program. AOCE organized an awareness symposium for the Higher Institute of Administrative Science’s student delegation- Ash-Sharkia branch, aiming at preventing youth from delusive thoughts that contradict social and Islamic values, enhancing public awareness, and empowering the ability of self-intellectual protection. It includes three sessions: first, a lecture entitled “How to Gain Critical Skills to Evaluate the Circulating Information on Social Media,” second entitled “Youth and Extremist Organizations,” and the third entitled “A Glimpse on AOCE’s Work Mechanism on the Real Ground.” Notably, this activity has been preceded by many activities as a part of the cooperation protocol between Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and several local and international bodies in countering violent extremism.
