It is not true that Islam spread by the sword as some Western intellectuals, who try to distort the image of Islam and its civilization, claim. Here, it should be fairly emphasized that the Glorious Qur’an, which guarantees religious freedom for non-Muslims in explicit verses, cannot state at the same time that Islam should be spread by the sword or any other coercive means. Instead, calling people to Islam should only be through convincing them by the exhibition of evidence.
