Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, backed with two billion Muslims worldwide, reminds the whole world that these illusory plans are proposed by people who neither comprehend historical truths, nor uphold the sanctity of the homeland, nor realize the meaning of sacrificing oneself, family, children, and property for it. They also do not understand what "Gaza," despite being destructed, really means to the Palestinians, as well as Muslims and the free and dignified people across the world.
Al-Azhar also reminds the whole world that these plans are no longer deceiving anyone, no matter how naive or unaware. It reiterates that the political contexts of the last century, which allowed one of these deceptive schemes to take place, will not be repeated again on the land of the "beloved Gaza," thanks to the brave and steadfast people of Gaza, who will not exchange their pure blood for expulsion and displacement from their homeland.
How could not this be the case, when the people of Palestine have proven to the whole world that they are the rightful owners of the land, and seekers of a just cause that has long been subjected to injustice and tricks of oppressors? Palestinians have also demonstrated that their lives are bound to the survival of their homeland and the establishment of their state, and that they will never leave their land, no matter how brutal the alliances and crimes committed against them. The occupier and its backers must realize this fact, recognize that Palestine shall remain as integral part of the Arab and the Middle East regions, and make sure that their plans to obliterate Palestine will be etched in the history of the aggressors and oppressors with all expressions of shame and disgrace.
Al-Azhar is really astonished how those who adopt freedom and democracy as slogans to defend whomever they want manage to deny them when it comes to the legitimate rights of innocent Palestinians. Al-Azhar renews its call to all Arab and Islamic countries to take a bold, unified stance against these unacceptable violations and meaningless declarations that attempt to deny the Palestinians their inalienable right to establish their eternal state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
