Al-Azhar Observatory unequivocally condemns the proposal to change the "West Bank" into "Yehuda and Samaria"

Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) condemns in the strongest terms the Zionist ministerial committee approval on the draft law to change the name of the “West Bank” into “Yehuda and Samaria,” asserting that such steps are exacerbating the situation in the occupied Palestinian lands as well as the whole region of the Middle East. The Observatory reiterates that the Zionist proposal is a flagrant violation of international law and the Palestinians’ internationally acknowledged rights to self-determination and establishing the independent Palestinian state.
Therefore, the Observatory calls upon the international community and its entities to take an unequivocal stance against such provocative procedures that root colonialism policies in the occupied Palestinian lands, and prolong the Palestinian cause, or even totally eliminate it, as targeted by a bunch of terrorists who control the Zionist government, while pushing the region towards the blink of war.
The Observatory asserts that the price of the blood is immense, and the international community has to be aware of the evil consequences. The catastrophes, we witnessed in Gaza sector during the last 15 months, the massacres and systemized ethnic cleansing, must not be repeated. The fire ignited daily by Zionist entity’s decisions and aggression, with the support of the new American administration that revealed to the whole world its true stance regarding peace process in the region, will not pass fleetingly for the observers who realize the truth.
