AOCE has recently organized a new three-day symposium in Port Said, aiming at promoting awareness among youth in different Egyptian universities and institutes by fortifying them against extremist ideologies that threaten social stability.

AOCE’s workshop addressed the reason for extremism in different communities, the tools of recruitment by the radical groups, strategies for immunizing youth against delusive thoughts, as well as elaborating on various related concepts, such as Islamophobia and far-right extremism.

AOCE’s lecturer illustrated the role of moral and human values in promoting sustainable development and achieving social balance.
-  Various Events Addressing Negative Trends
The program included various interactive workshops and lectures in attendance with a number of specialized psychologists, media officials, and religious scholars from Al-Azhar and the Church, aiming at presenting a comprehensive view of the dangers related to extremism, addiction, suicide, atheism, and etc., and how to get the most appropriate effective solutions for such contemporary issues.
-   Outreaching
In addition, the symposium addressed the negative impacts of social media on ethics and values and how to respond to them.
-   Patriotic View for Promoting Awareness
Based on the Egyptian Administration's view of building youth awareness, the symposium enhances the concept of patriotism. It is worth mentioning that AOCE & Ministry of Youth and Sports have qualified more than 5000 ambassadors for the initiative in all Egyptian universities and institutes.
