Religious Leaders Counter Homosexuality
In the framework of its close monitoring of the continuous attempts to spread appalling thoughts that violate all the teachings of heavenly-revealed religions in communities, Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism closely monitored the meetings held by his eminence Prof. Ahmad al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, with the leaders and rectors of the Egyptian churches, where the attendees focused on the attempted attacks that aim to promulgate homosexuality, which threatens the ecosystem of religious, moral and spiritual values deeply-rooted worldwide since the very beginning of creation.
The meetings focused also on the acts of violence widely-spread in streets and schools, which resulted in killing innocent souls whom Allah has forbidden their killing except for a rightful reason. In addition, they focused on the issue of tampering with nature, stressing that such a matter leads to grave consequences on climate and natural disasters, maintaining that we all should stand united and firm in the face of these behaviors in order to preserve the religious and moral ecosystem and to protect humankind from these dangers.
The attendees furthermore agreed to intensify their efforts to adopt a unified stance against these dangers and to take the necessary measures for combating them. In this regard, they called for holding conferences on the regional, national and international levels to counter these problems.
On its part, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif calls upon the international community to counter these dangers and to unite efforts for preserving the moral and religious values and revitalizing them in the souls of people.
Moreover, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif calls upon all the world countries to spread awareness on these dangers and to warn people against the different means employed by the advocates of such immoral acts to encourage these practices, especially homosexuality, as they bring about disasters and crises to all humanity.
Finally, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif calls upon the leaders and peoples of the Muslim countries to exert all their efforts to overcome these dangers.
