Ambassadress Nabila Makram, Egyptian Minister of Immigration, “International students hold senior positions in their home countries, and this emphasizes the power of Al-Azhar and its impact in the world.”
His Eminence Al-Azhar Grand Imam Prof Ahmed At-Tayeb received Ambassadress Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Affairs Abroad.
The Grand Imam said that Al-Azhar receives students from more than 100 countries every year, and provides full support for these students to learn religious and worldly sciences. Then, they return to their countries as ambassadors of Islam and peace. He also pointed out that some international students graduated from Al-Azhar have held senior positions in their countries, actively contributed to the development of their countries, and worked to promote the common human values of tolerance and co-existence they have learned at Al-Azhar.
On her part, Ambassadress Nabila Makram affirmed that Al-Azhar’s graduates are among the most important sources of the soft power of Egypt to the world, pointing out that holding foreign students’ senior positions in their countries emphasizes the power of Al-Azhar and its impact in the world.
