On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, German Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas, and an accompanied delegation visited Al-Azhar Mosque. The German delegation toured Al-Azhar Mosque. They were received by Prof. ‛Abdel Mon‛im Fou’ād, Professor of Creed and Philosophy, General Supervisor of Academic activities at the Azhari Ruwāq (Class Court).
Prof. Fou’ād welcomed Mr. Maas and explained that the Ruwāq's academic activities offer an embodiment of the concepts of peace and moderation the modern world aspires.
On his part, the German Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation of Al-Azhar institution and the wise efforts of its Grand Imam consolidating the values of brotherhood and world peace. He also praised the ancient architectural style of Al-Azhar Mosque which inspires valuable messages to its visitors and students.
