The Grand Imam Congratulates Pope Tawadros II and Copts on Easter

The Grand Imam of al-Azhar Prof. Dr. Ahmad al-Tayeb made a phone call with Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark to congratulate him and all Copts on the occasion of Easter.
During the call, both parties prayed to Allah to bring the affliction to an end and to protect Egypt and its people from all calamities.

On his part, the Grand Imam expressed his pride in the brotherly bond that brings together all the Egyptians, Muslims and Christians alike, who set a perfect example of integration and solidarity, especially in the time of pandemic that afflicted our dear country and the whole world.
