His Eminence, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, extends his heartfelt congratulations to the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, our valiant Armed Forces, and to the great Egyptian people on the occasion of 51st anniversary of the 6th of October victory, which has embodied the values of sacrifice, steadfastness, and raised the banner of national pride and dignity.
Al-Azhar stresses that such a historic victory over the enemy has been engraved by the blood of noble martyrs as well as the will of the Egyptian Armed Forces and people who refused acquiescence. The October/Ramadan victory has been a turning point in the history of our cherished country, demonstrating the power of trust in Allah to restore our homeland. Our Armed Forces have proved to the entire world that Egypt, together with its sincere people, can deter aggressors, restore rights, and destroy whims and myths. Egypt has been, and shall forever remain, a country with brave souls who suit promises to realities; and hopes to great victories.
Al-Azhar remains appreciative of the indispensable contributions and sacrifices made by our Armed Forces and the noble Egyptian people. On such occasion, Al-Azhar prays to Allah, the Almighty, to protect Egypt, all Arab and Muslim countries, and all peace-loving peoples from all disasters and calamities and to achieve progress, stability, and prosperity.
