Via their various platforms and social media, movements and organizations of the alleged 'Temple Movement' (led by the Temple Mount is in our Hands!) called for breaking into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in thousands next Thursday, during the 'Flag March' or what they call 'Jerusalem Day'.
The 'Flag March' or 'Jerusalem Day' is a series of annual celebrations that mark the Zionist capture, occupation, and annexation of East Jerusalem in June 1967. Thousands of settlers parade through city, walking through the old city’s streets and alleys, to commemorate the anniversary of the occupation of its Eastern part of the city and to try to bring it under full Zionist control, chanting anti-Palestinian and anti-Arab slogans, including 'Death to Arabs'.
During these celebrations, the Zionist occupation mobilizes thousands of security and military forces and take strict security measures in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, fearing that acts of violence may ensue between settlers and Palestinians.
This year, this event coincides with the brutal Zionist war on the Gaza Strip in which tens of thousands of people lost their lives, not to mention the wounded and the missing.
As the date of the Zionist "Flag March" in occupied Jerusalem approaches, Yedioth Ahronoth wondered: "Will the march take its usual route even in times of war?" The newspaper responded: "The traditional flag march is expected to take place as it does every year on Jerusalem Day, the middle of the week, but its specific route is still unclear so far, except for starting and ending points. A source close to the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, stated that the march plan will remain unchanged, and it is to pass through Bab al-Amud, which connects Jerusalem’s eastern neighborhoods to the Old City.
On its part, Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) warns of the gravity of the situation, particularly in the West Bank and Jerusalem, particularly in light of the repeated attacks by settlers on religious sanctities, the confiscation of lands to build settlements, the continuous oppression of Palestinians, and detaining hundreds of Palestinians since October 7, 2023, in addition to the continuation of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and the fall of thousands of martyrs, all of which constitute mounting psychological pressures on the Palestinians in the rest of the occupied territories. This volatile situation may result in revolt at any moment due to endless Zionist oppression, brutality, and destruction.
