During his lecture at Al-Azhar Conference Center, Nobel laureate and Head of Interim Government of Bangladesh, Dr. Muhammad Yunus said,

-    Studying at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif provides students with a better insight and a deeper understanding of the world and humanity as a whole. It is a leading academic institution in the East and a beacon of enlightenment, tolerance and inclusiveness.
-    The influence of Al-Azhar in Bangladesh has been extensive for a long time. Today, the opinions of Al-Azhar scholars are highly regarded in the country and continue to play a significant role in shaping contemporary religious and social discourse.
-    I look forward to Al-Azhar Al-Sharif leading the required transformative efforts in our communities and advocating for the renewal of educational systems across the Islamic world.
-    The killing of more than 45,000 Palestinians in the ongoing massacre in Gaza over the past 14 months serves as a frightening reminder of the inability of the international organization and standards. We must take bold initiatives and measures to end the suffering of the Palestinians.
