AOCE Receives CCCPA’s Trainees

     As part of the memorandum of understanding signed by AOCE and CCCPA to promote cooperation and continuous collaboration, Dr. Reham Salama, the Executive Director of Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE), received a delegation of trainees from the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping & Peacebuilding (CCCPA).

First, a comprehensive overview of the operational mechanisms employed by AOCE across its units in thirteen foreign languages was presented. In addition, the Observatory’s most prominent activities, initiatives, and events organized by the Observatory in accordance with its mission to combat extremism and intellectual polarization through awareness efforts, were elaborated.

As part of the visit, the Observatory organized three awareness lectures regarding the following issues: "Extremist Organizations’ Ideologies towards Conflict & against Spreading Peace”, "The Situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and its Repercussions,” as well as “Human Fraternity Document and its role in Promoting Global Peace and coexistence."

Following the meeting, the delegation expressed their appreciation for endeavours undertaken by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, led by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, through its various entities, including Al-Azhar Observatory, that offers a counter-narrative aimed at dismantling extremist ideologies and promoting peace, integration, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
