Al-Azhar: Palestinians are the owners of their own decisions, and no one is entitled to impose forced displacement upon them

Al-Azhar: The world should respect Palestinians’ right to their lands, and the establishment of their state with Jerusalem as its Capital
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif calls for supporting the Egyptian and Arab stance regarding the reconstruction of Gaza and the Palestinians’ right to live on their land. It urges the international community to utilize its influence and apply necessary pressure to ensure the complete fulfillment of the ceasefire agreement. Meanwhile, Al-Azhar calls upon world leaders to observe wisdom when issuing statements concerning the fate of other nations, reitrating  that no one has the authority to impose untenable proposals, and that the global community must unequivocally respect Palestinians' rights to live on their lands and to establish their state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Al-Azhar calls on Arab and Muslim leaders, as well as esteemed and wise people across the world and the whole nations on the earth, to collectively oppose any schemes of forced displacement aimed at eliminating the Palestinian cause forever. Such plans aim at expelling the Palestinians from their homes and abandon their lands on which they have lived for millennia, bearing no consideration to the sanctity of homeland or its maternal connection to one’s conscience.
Al-Moreover, Al-Azhar stresses that the international community’s negligence of the oppressed and persecuted will drive the world in whole, from East to West, to a case of instability, which will turn the whole world into a real wilderness where the powerful usurp the rights of the vulnerable.
Al-Azhar urges the religious institutions around the world to employ the power of religion to defend the oppressed in Palestine, warning that neglecting and silencing this voice will incur both moral and spiritual accountability before Allah, the Almighty. Al-Azhar asserts that the main objective of religions around the world is to help and protect the oppressed. All religions reject the eviction of the Palestinians from their lands for others’ interests, while we live in a world supposedly ruled by international laws and traditions. Actually, what is happening to Palestinians today on their land reminds us of the barbarism of prehistoric ages.
