The Grand Imam Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar received H.E. Jumaa Mubarak Al-Jeneiby, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Egypt.
The Grand Imam welcomed H.E. the Emirati ambassador in Cairo at Al-Azhar, and his eminence expressed his appreciation of the significant role played by the UAE, and commended the honorable and long-lasting stances of the wise Emirati leadership, for the service of the Arab and Muslim nation and defending its issues, saying that it is a not a strange matter to the descendants of Sheikh Zayed, the wise leader of Arabs.
On his part, H.E. the Emirati ambassador expressed the appreciation of the leadership and people of the UAE for the leading role played by Al-Azhar in establishing the tolerant principles of Islam. H.E. the ambassador also commended the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar, who continuously seeks to promote the values of peace, tolerance and mutual coexistence among the various nations and peoples, emphasizing that the UAE takes pride that Al-Azhar has and continues to be the reference and beacon for the moderation of Islam to the whole world.
