AOCE Promotes Youth Awareness to Counter Extremism

As a part of its ongoing initiative, “Together…Safe Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence,” Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE), in collaboration with the Masaena Foundation for Youth and Development, conducted interactive training workshops aimed at empowering youth and raising awareness against extremism.
During the sessions, AOCE researchers presented key insights from the Document on Human Fraternity, highlighting its crucial role in promoting tolerance and constructing intercultural bridges. Furthermore, they addressed the common characteristics of extremists, warning participants about the risks of intellectual isolation.  The youth were encouraged to engage in critical education and analytical thinking.
At the end, AOCE’s researchers underscored the importance of sustained dialogue with young people to protect them from the dangers of violence and extremism. They also highlighted the role of religious and educational institutions in nurturing values of coexistence, peace, and societal cohesion
