Al-Azhar strongly condemns the horrifying accident in which a lorry ploughed into a market, running over a gathering of citizens in Berlin, leaving a number of individuals killed and others injured.

Al-Azhar emphasizes its solid stance which rejects all terrorist acts that target innocent individuals all over the world, stressing the right of every human being to live in peace regardless of their religion, color, race or language. Al-Azhar calls upon the global community to exert true efforts and agree on a comprehensive strategy to eradicate this dreaded epidemic by all means possible in order to rid the world of its evils and crimes.

Al-Azhar extends sincere condolences to the German government and people for the victims of treachery and terrorism, and offers prayers for a speedy recovery of the injured.
