The Grand Imam Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar received H.E. Berik Aryn, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Egypt, at the end of his post in Cairo.

The Grand Imam welcomed H.E. the ambassador at Al-Azhar and commended his unique efforts and fruitful cooperation with Al-Azhar, wishing him all the success in his future post.

His eminence emphasized that Al-Azhar spares no effort in promoting the message of Islam and its true teachings, as well as correcting misconceptions, emphasizing that Al-Azhar constantly seeks to support all that establishes peace among the various nations and peoples through its different institutions.

On his part, H.E. the ambassador emphasized that Al-Azhar is the Muslim world’s reference which represents the tolerance and moderation of Islam that counters extremist thought. Ambassador Aryn commended the significant role played by Al-Azhar in interfaith dialogue and the cordial relations between Al-Azhar and his country, as well as the continuous cooperation and constant communication with officials in this great institution.
